A workflow for preparing vehicle listings from a dealership’s inventory.
I developed data and photo extraction, description preparation and repetitive-step automation with Playwright. The salesperson remains responsible for reviewing and approving publication.
The workflow also compares inventory to identify vehicles that are no longer available. This work became the starting point for CarSocial.
Playwright for repetitive browser tasks
Node.js runs the workflow and TypeScript helps structure inventory data. Playwright controls browser steps needed to prepare a listing. Extraction brings information and photographs into a working format rather than treating every vehicle as a completely manual entry.
What this development contributes
The workflow boundary matters: preparing a listing does not remove seller review or platform requirements. This case documents workflow automation, not an official Facebook Marketplace API. Subsequent CarSocial development incorporates this experience into a broader product.
